Bounce Innovation Hub was founded in January 2018 and is the region’s first open innovation hub serving northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial and innovation community. Located in downtown Akron in the former B.F. Goodrich plant, the building comprises more than 300,000 square feet of office, lab and light manufacturing space. With more than 50 organizations in the building, Bounce accounts for more than 200 people working and creating.Bounce currently offers an incubator program, a mentoring program and a software accelerator. We also host, as well as offer event space, for entrepreneurial events.The Generator, opening in 2019Bounce is currently undergoing a major renovation to the first floor that is expected to be complete in spring 2019. Comprising 27,000 square feet, the Generator will include a new and more inviting entryway, office space, co-working space, a makerspace, a café and meeting area, conference rooms, and a University of Akron esports lab.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCLE, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCLE event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
