Lavender is one of the most useful and universal flowers. Not only is it beautiful, but the scent can truly soothe the soul. After visiting a lavender farm in 2019, Jessica and Jason Mortvedt decided lavender was the perfect thing to grow on their acreage near Ames, in central Iowa.The boutique, family-owned lavender farm was established in spring 2020, featuring 150 lavender plants. There are currently three lavender varieties with plans to add a fourth in spring 2021. We grow, harvest and personally handcraft all of our lavender products.In the summer of 2021, Iowa Lavender will welcome guests on select days to pick their own lavender bundle.
