Responsible for the administration and program management of the Resource & Referral (R&R), Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP), and Health & Safety (H&S) contracts. Successfully increased licensed child care capacity by recruiting new family child care providers, expanding available child care slots. Led the coordination of the Health & Safety contract, enhancing training programs across child care facilities, centers, and homes for both licensed and license-exempt providers, ensuring improved standards and compliance.

Oversight of the CA Department of Public Health's SNAP-Ed/Nutrition Education Obesity Prevention (NEOP) Physical Activity program and statewide initiatives to promote active lifestyles. Developed and implemented strategic program plans across California, providing technical assistance and training to 54 Local Health Department grantees to ensure effective program implementation. Reviewed and developed physical activity materials and resources in alignment with public health guidelines while establishing collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders at local, state, and national levels. Reinvigorated the CDPH Physical Activity Collaboration Team to advance initiatives focused on walkable communities and planned and executed program evaluation activities to assess outcomes and ensure the long-term success of physical activity initiatives.

Coordinated an epidemiological cross-sectional study to detect the prevalence of type 2 diabetes in 2 local high schools; Managed Project Assistant, interns and volunteers; Set-up and performed diabetes testing, including finger-prick blood draws and phlebotomy procedures; Delivered 232 diabetes education presentations, which resulted in almost doubling the study participants from 1,958 to 3,248 students in one year from the previous 4 years combined; Collected and analyzed research data; Wrote 4 publications on study findings; Applied for grant-renewals and mini-grants; Developed two no-cost nutrition education and physical activity intervention programs for overweight, pre-diabetic teens.
