I grew up in sunny southern California but have spent the last 18 years in the Arizona desert. Needless to say, I love the sunshine!After getting talked out of law school by more than one undergraduate professor, I was at a loss as to what to do after college. I landed a temp job at an insurance company which then led to 11 years of credentialing and contracting network providers. But the call of the legal field remained, so I went back to school to earn a paralegal certificate and change careers. After learning the ropes as a paralegal assistant for 2 years, I've spent the last 14 years as a litigation paralegal, first in products liability and currently in civil rights and constitutional law. It's been a dream come true. I still get a thrill when entering a new courtroom for the first time and yes, I have taken pictures of every courtroom I've worked in. I've been married over 25 years to my favorite person, who still makes me laugh every day, and we have a spoiled toy poodle, Scout, who thinks the world revolves around her. For the past 2 years, we've lived with and helped care for my mother-in-law who is battling Alzheimer's disease. Seeing her daily battle up close has given me a new appreciation for health and wellness. And the realization that quality of life is so important.I'm now on a mission to build and maintain healthy habits in order to spend the rest of my days living life to the fullest and fulfilling God's purpose for me. And to that end, I recently started a growing internet business that has allowed me to help others get both physically and financially healthy, so they too can live their best life.
