As a child and as an adult, I have always strived under pressure. I hunger for a challenge and seek it out whenever the chance is given. This ultimately brought me to the world of contract administration. Working in the industries of construction and development, I have a new perspective on the meaning of stress. My experiences have encouraged me to reevaluate how I manage my time and to strategically change how I organize the approach to my work, an effort that provides fulfillment from furthering my career and bettering myself. I seek to continue this path; I seek to continue to grow. After graduating from UCLA in 2018, the future was uncertain. During this period of questioning my place as a professional, I received a job offer from a subcontractor specializing in commercial millwork. While it was not a field I had considered, the pay and the prospect of learning something new was alluring.I was pleasantly surprised at how well I fit into this position. I wore many hats - from contract administrator to overseer of subcontract compliance to insurance manager and much, much more - and all hats fit perfectly. I had found my place. After a couple of years, I made the decision that it was time to graduate to a larger corporation, where I could find even more opportunities to learn and grow. This is how I earned my current role as contract administrator at BioMed Realty. The challenges and learning opportunities opened wide. There is always something new to conquer: understanding the intricacies across multiple contract forms and varying layers of negotiated legal language; fielding and consolidating communications across legal, accounting, project management, and risk teams; understanding the stipulations imposed by property, entity, and scope; and beyond. I find myself in an environment in which my passion for the role continues to flourish.I have accomplished much. I invest myself in exploring processes across multiple teams, culminating in the production of market-specific communication workshops, training manuals and presentations with regards to current and new processes, and improving vendor and client relations. I continue to grow each and every day.I look forward to advancing my career even further as I seek to improve my proficiency as a contract administrator, both inside and outside the workplace. I endeavor to find like-minded professionals who engage, challenge, and encourage me, and I seek to return the same. I am ever hopeful for improvement, and a future in a company that builds me up as much I support them.
