While my official title is UI Artist, I do so much more than just user interface designs at Little Orbit. Every day presents me with new challenges, new things to learn, and new ways to grow.I pride myself on my ability to work fast and work efficiently with high quality results. I helped to reimagine and redesign the game's UI for expansion from PC onto console gaming platforms. This task included: -Using Photoshop to mockup ideas for the screen redesigns -Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to ensure proper functionality and user experience -Redesigning the controls and functions of screens for ease of use with a controller while still maintaining playability and flow with a keyboard and mouse -Creating new UI assets and sprites to fit with the evolving aesthetics of the game -Enlarging text for readability and adding console specific button icon hints -Using Adobe Illustrator and TypeTool 3 to create console specific buttons to add to the text sheetsI've helped to design and create battleboards, which are the 3D playmats player's use within the game. I've created concept art for the boards as well as helped create some of the 3D assets and fully texturing everything within the scene.I also create animated card art, animated sleeves, and the animations for the landing page. I create masks, uv textures, and panning textures within Photoshop then use those in the shaders created by a coworker within Unity.Usual daily tasks include: -Collaborating with the design team to design new screens and create mockups for approval -Authoring new assets in photoshop -Laying out new screens and windows within Unity -Adding simple animations -Updating older screens that need a beauty pass
