The Doers is a group of creative specialists giving brands (both small and large) flexible access to the whole spectrum of marketing and commercial skillsets. Unlike the traditional brand/agency model, businesses can scale up (or scale back) their requirements as needs change. They might hire just Jess and Laura, get occasional backup support from a designer or copywriter, or bring the Doers Inner Circle (more on them in a bit) together for full marketing strategy and execution. The aim? To help brands launch products, nail strategies, and outlast competitors.Back in 2018, after 10+ years working in-house and agency-side, we (Jess and Laura) could see brands were missing out on working with the best brand and marketing talent: freelancers.Briefing and managing multiple freelancers for one project took time. Delivery timelines slipped as brands couldn’t control a freelancer’s schedule. And final pieces of work lacked key nuances as freelancers were more removed from a brand’s business.It meant brands were sticking with what they knew: expensive and bloated agencies.We knew there was a better way of working, which is why we started The Doers. The anti-agency that allows great brands to harness all the benefits of great freelancers. High-quality. Affordable. Flexible. What’s not to like?
