Jessica is a designer who excels at creative problem solving and contributing to innovative design solutions by leveraging her background in sociology and marketing. She believes that understanding user behavior and needs is key to creating impactful and user-friendly designs.Jessica has supported various roles that have honed her skills in project management, recruitment, and marketing. She worked as a recruiter both in-house at Newsbreak and at the agency HireIO, managing the full-cycle recruitment process and assisting the Director of HR. It was during this time, while hiring for Product Design roles, that she was inspired to switch careers and become a designer herself. Her project management experience at UpChannels Inc. involved coordinating LinkedIn and email campaigns, content creation, and conducting competitive audits for startups.Currently, she is working towards transitioning into the UX design field and is eager to apply her skills to create innovative and user-centric design solutions. Jessica is trained in SPSS, Figma, qualitative and quantitative research, Canva, user testing, wireframing, and prototyping. She holds a BA in Sociology from San Jose State University and has completed 4 Design projects in her time at Springboard.When she is not immersed in design projects, Jessica enjoys art and creating worlds in her writing. She loves exploring new technologies and ways of being creative.
