My focus at ArtPush.org is on our programs and annual events. Thanks to the California Art Council's support we were able to continue our "Creative Art Program". CAP encourages education through artistic expression. Motivated by personal past abuse and trauma, I started CAP to help children reestablish their strengths. The children create a painting about their feelings and thoughts on the future. The following week we host a group art exhibit. We currently work with Girls Inc. of the Island City. The last three exhibits were titled "The Future Is Female.ArtPush also puts on The Alameda Summer Art Fair and Maker Market, 100 UNDER 100 Group Art Show & The BlackLight Art Show. We host ongoing community art related events like Make Art!, Grant Writing Group & 2nd Friday Open Studios. While most of my skills are self taught, I have also attended classes at The Art Institute of Atlanta, St. Petersburg College and Emory University. I studied subjects such as Adobe Illustrator to Fine Art.I spent my early years cutting & pasting ads together in St. Petersburg, Florida for "FOCUS" a local music magazine. I started a local events magazine called the "Hitchhikers Guide to St. Petersburg". My company "Creative Vision's Graphic Design" later merged with an ISP, where my services leaned more towards hi-end web development.In 2003 I worked as Art Director and Webmaster at top 40 radio station, Star 94 in Atlanta. My focus was on web development, developing CMS and training for different departments, and the majority of the Star 94 artwork, such as billboards and animated movie screen backdrops for concerts.
