• Advise students regarding opportunities and application procedures concerning USD sponsored study abroad, National Student Exchange, and third-party provider programs.• Monitor student profiles and applications• Track risk management and recommendation processes• Review and accept student applications for study abroad and National Student Exchange placements• Manage student profiles, applications, and program information requests in Terra Dotta• Orchestrate and serve as the staff advisor for the Study Abroad Ambassador organization• Approve student pre-decision and post-decision applications• Promote study abroad programs by co-hosting events such as Study Away 101 information sessions, open advising sessions, International Education Week, study abroad fairs, and the Study Abroad Ambassador Organization• Recruit students for study abroad domestic and international programs• Advocate on behalf of Faculty-Led programs for students seeking short term programs• Monitor partnerships with study abroad affiliated institutions• Stay up to date on current events and safety situations that could affect students abroad• Communicate with other stakeholders (Financial aid, Registrar, Student Rights and Responsibilities) and deans in order to track students’ academic progress

• Responsible for providing students co-curricular opportunities to engage, relax and have fun through event planning• Organize week long events such as Welcome Week and Finals Week• Advise the Campus Activities Board based on goals, values, and organization’s mission statement• Provide advice and insight into how to plan Campus Activities Board (CAB) programs• Create and structure CAB events to run efficiently and effectively.• Design and implement effective training techniques for students and staff• Managed two large-scale concerts from beginning to end with budgets up to $130,000• Advocate for students’ voices in programs across the institution• Maintain ‘Paw Point’ records via card reader excel sheets• Organize and co-host organization events such as MUC Bingo, Motivation Monday, Yote Floats, Fantastic Friday etc.• Manage event planning budgets up to $5,000.
