Develop AI-generated data set of kirigami patterns to engineer a gastrointestinal tract medical device with controlled drug delivery under Dr. Binbin Ying in the Traverso Laboratory. Design and characterize mechanical and theranostic properties of various kirigami patterns.

Selected to represent Pennsylvania in discussions and scientific lectures with delegates from 48 states and 10 countries. Participated in seminars about science policy, healthcare accessibility, and public health.

Co-authored research paper titled "A Novel Chitosan-Bioactive Glass Coated Kresling Origami Lumbar Disc Replacement" with Christine Zhang. Project was selected 1 of 6 winners/350+ submissions to receive MIT funding and mentorship. Published in the Journal of Student Research.

Assisted in Women Doing Science Opportunity Fund for New Diversity in Engineering and Research Fund to financially support BIWOC to attend the American Geophysical Union under the founder, Dr. Alex Phillips. Designed graphics for 100k+ social media audience.

Created molecular dynamic simulations of fibroblast growth factors using Visual MD and Nanoscale MD software under Professor Markus Buehler in the Laboratory for Atomistic and Molecular Mechanics. Wrote research paper and presented at the Research Science Institute Symposium.

Created lesson presentations and virtually taught young, under-resourced students weekly in STEM topics. Guided students through engineering beginner research projects and made 200+ math worksheets.

Researched the biomaterial strength and protein structure of silkworm silk in various pH solutions using wet-lab techniques and PyMOL software under Dr. Jeanne Garbarino in the Klinge Laboratory for Protein and Nucleic Acid Chemistry. Presented poster at the Rockefeller University Summer Symposium and NYC Research Consortium Science Symposium.
