As a graduate student obtaining my clinical hours, I was responsible for assessing the needs of patients by performing physical and cognitive evaluations to determine level of functioning and assist the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in interpreting patient assessment data. I was responsible for providing individualized treatment to adult and pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders to improve communication and swallowing. Lastly, I assisted the supervising speech language pathologist in documenting evaluations, treatment plan information, and progress notes to maintain updated client records.
