Jessie Andre serves many roles in the Norris School District, as HAL coordinator, Instructional Technology Instructor, and Middle School Librarian. After graduating from UNL with a Bachelors of Music, she taught instrumental and vocal music in central Iowa, Bellevue, Lincoln, Elm Creek and Firth. Currently, Mrs. Andre is working toward a doctorate degree in Gifted Education. She has taught for over thirty years and enjoys the endorsements that enable her to work with a huge variety of students. Mrs. Andre has been at Norris since 2006. She lives on an acreage outside of Firth with her husband, kids and two Pembroke Welsh Corgi's. All three of Mrs. Andre's children have attended Norris. Her oldest daughter studies Special Education at UNL. Her son attends Berklee College of Music as a jazz guitar major. Mrs. Andre's youngest child is a Senior at UNHS.Mrs. Andre's duties include: Library and Information Sciences, Year Book, Computer Science, and several after school clubs including Ukulele and Colorguard and Lego Robotics.
