"Research is something that everyone can do, and everyone ought to do." -Raewyn ConnellAs a trained community health researcher, I am passionate about health promotion and cultivating well-being. I am a project manager at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, leading numerous research projects. Previous and current projects include: a randomized control trial assessing the efficacy of a sexual assault prevention program with college-aged womxn, a qualitative study evaluating the barriers and facilitators of participating in campus sexual assault prevention programs for womxn of color, a large scale quantitative survey examining the cultural nuances of well-being in Bangkok, Thailand in order to develop a health promoting intervention, an interventional study on sedentary behavior, encouraging adults to take 2-5 minute "snacktivity" breaks at work and teaching them behavior change tools along the way, a study assessing the impacts of COVID-19 on Bay Area families and the accessibility of school-provided meals, as well as a 3x3x3 crossover design study to examine the effects of movement in the classroom on learning and creativity in 7th graders.My uncompensated pursuits include ultimate frisbee, surfing, backpacking, car camping across California (aka glamping), skiing, and Pickleball - I am among the 36.5 million players in the US (according to Pickleheads).
