Wrote a comprehensive curriculum, as well as daily and weekly lesson plans. Planned, conducted and facilitated training sessions for lesson instructors, monitored participants' progress and changed group lesson levels as needed, and met with parents/guardians to discuss their children's progress.

In addition to Lifeguard duties, I supervised and coordinated the work activities of personnel, such as training staff members and assigning work duties, enforced rules and regulations of recreational facilities to maintain order and ensure safety of patrons and staff, and conferred with management to discuss and resolve guest complaints.

Taught basic water safety and swimming skills to a combination of 3 and 4 year old children of differing abilities and comfort levels.

Coached the 9 and 10 year old age group of local swim team, teaching them swimming technique and endurance, writing practices, organizing meets and communicating with parents and other coaches.

Stitch-It is an organization that embroiders social justice messages on upcycled clothing as a means of sparking activism and awareness. Stitch-It has also lead many local grassroots initiatives, including raising money for food banks, donating leftover food and supplies as the Tulane community was sent home due to COVID-19 and the current #sustainablewithstitchit initiative.
