I have had an interest in marketing since I was a young girl, observing and engaging with the marketing strategies used by my parents to promote their respective businesses, allowed my younger self to have an insight of what my future may entail. By designing and implementing social media strategies, I gained practical experience which grew my love for marketing. These encounters lead me to apply for the Higher-Level Apprentice course, DMAC. This stands for Digital Marketing, Advertising and communications, this takes place at Southern Regional College Newry one day a week while being employed the other four days. I love the idea of learning and earning, while gaining valuable and practical experience that permits me to work on live projects with experienced mentors. Personal business in finance, cost, and management accounting, managing an event and developing a digital marketing campaign were some units that I covered over the last two years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at SRC as it increased my knowledge of the business world while gaining and developing many transversal skills that I can incorporate into any job role I apply for in the Future. In my free time I enjoy developing my own personal skills, I am currently working on my ATCL Communications Skills and Public Speaking diploma. 14 years of musical theatre, speech and drama and dance exams have enabled me to apply for this qualification.
