I love to dig in, figure out what needs to be communicated—to whom, why and to what desired effect—and then to write what needs writing, such as thought-leadership posts, reports of all kinds, case studies, presentations and speeches,magazine articles, white papers, PR and marketing content, technical content, how-to's and manuals, process documentation galore, infographics and the like. I’m a systems thinker, a generalist, a do-er and a strategist.

I help organizations harness the power of generational intelligence through workshops, training and consulting designed to highlight each generations’ natural capacities, needs, perspectives, motivations and desires. I’ve written extensive and customized training materials, manuals, presentations and reports for clients.

I supported an agency providing SEO, websites and app-development services with technical writing, sales-enablement pieces, proposal writing and marketing; as well as with business development and identifying (and nurturing) potential partners. I introduced the biggest and most significant client (by a factor of many) in the company's 15-year history.

Conducted interviews and extensive research as needed to then write blog posts, articles, thought-leadership pieces, direct-mail and email-marketing campaigns, landing pages, website content, company and individual profiles, video scripts, books, social-media posts and more.

Developed strategic communications plans, policies and systems for a complex organization that is essentially the equivalent of a small town with approximately 100,000 residents, 2,000 employees and several thousand businesses. With a budget in excess of $1 million, managed, directed and developed the team that created all external and internal communications. External channels included media relations, dozens of social sites, video programming and PSAs, a TV show, a robust community-wide newsletter, annual community reports, community partnerships, a comic book, stakeholder meetings and more; and internal communications included an intranet, videos, company-wide meetings and more.

Established and managed a sophisticated, international social-media system in the groundbreaking days of corporate social-media use; thus, transforming the company’s culture and relationship to its customer base. Designed processes for robust data-tracking of relationships and media activity. Increased product reviews and media coverage more than 50 percent during my tenure. Worked on cross-functional teams with engineers, product managers, graphic designers, sales reps and the mar-com team to develop both technical and marketing content.
