Women in Aid & Development (WiAD) is a membership organisation for women who work in, or aspire to work in, the international aid, development and humanitarian sectors. Our mission is to share the skills, knowledge and experience of women in these sectors to incite, inspire & support all women to pursue and succeed in leadership roles.We do this by providing a facilitated space for women committed to self-improvement to exchange knowledge, insights and experiences at regular networking meetings in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. We share information on careers and leadership, connect mentors with mentees and aim to help women embrace challenges and opportunities in their life. CivicWell, previously The Local Government Commission, is a nonprofit organization that supports governments to foster innovation in local environmental sustainability, economic prosperity and social equity. • Analysed California State climate change policies and their impact on 13 local governments, so they could achieve state compliance.• Assisted 7 local governments apply for state funding through California's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Program (Assembly Bill 32).• Reviewed existing Climate Action Plans (CAP) and worked with local governments in the San Joaquin Valley to develop CAPs.• Used “California Communities Environmental Health Screening Tool” to map communities most vulnerable to pollution.• Led the Urban Forestry team of 5 during California's 5 year drought to build local government capacity and expand and protect urban forests by developing workshops, educational content, fact sheets, and literature reviews.

BuildinGuate provides medical attention, educational opportunity and emergency food at a municipal garbage dump in central Guatemala. • Hired to conceive, design and implement volunteer recruitment, engagement and stewardship plan

Rising Minds runs community health programs in the indigenous highlands of Guatemala where chronic malnutrition is among the highest in the world. Focusing on both poverty reduction and environmental stewardship to improve health, Rising Minds offers educational programs, micro-enterprise, sustainable building, and community gardens.• Conceived and implemented 3 fundraising events 1) MATCH it - a soccer competition during The World Cup where tourists formed teams, fundraised, and secured a matching benefactor 2) Garden Jams, a benefit festival and 3) Tequila Sunrise, a partnership with a local bar.• Wrote the 5 Year Health and Nutrition program project proposal, exploring food insecurity in the Guatemalan highlands and the benefit of community gardens. Program adopted by NGO.
