Addressing public clients’ needs by offering massage therapy approaches to encourage healing. As a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005, I have taken numerous continuing education courses to enhance my skill set, refine my listening skills, recognize physical cues, and provide a safe space for transformation.

Serving as a counselor under supervision for primarily individual adult clients (17-65 years old) of varying cultures. I have counseled clients with addiction, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorders, chronic illness and disability, depressive disorders, eating disorders, gender identity and sexuality concerns, grief and loss, life transition, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, psychosis, stress management, suicidality, and trauma- and stress-related disorders. I am competent with scheduling, progress notes, treatment planning, demographical statistics, outcome and session rating scales, and written client and referral communications. I respectfully worked with a team of professional and internship counselors presenting and evaluating client cases for optimal treatment and professional growth. I completed multiple videos on topics of mental health that are hosted on the college website. The Counseling Center’s primary theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while drawing on techniques from varying theoretical approaches. Direct interaction with students ranging from toddler to eighth-grade, serving as a resource for after-school activities, illness, and injury, and needed support. Building rapport with parents and guardians by navigating child pick-ups, after-school care, and concerns regarding scheduling. Serving teachers and support staff by monitoring calls and providing the necessary documentation. Manning the secured entries through an electronic monitoring system. Answering and responding to incoming calls. General office filing and organizational requirements. I left this wonderful position due to my move to Colorado.

As a Lead Instructor, instructed on massage techniques, anatomy, pathology, and behavior for canine clients. Operated the school's public canine massage clinic directly engaging with students, clients, and client caregivers. As a therapist, I provided canine massage and Reiki to address injuries, surgical rehabilitation, mental well-being, sports maintenance, socialization, and hospice care.

June 2004-May 2005 (Chicago School of Massage Therapy), July 2007-August 2015 (Cortiva Institute) As a Lead Instructor, I managed adult-learner classrooms of both lecture and hands-on curriculums; instructed within a public massage clinic; marked assignments and prepared grades; participated in ongoing professional development training, and served as a graduate mentor. As the Continuing Education Director, I managed registrations; promoted events via marketing and sales strategies; tended financial accounts; published an annual catalog; hosted live events; enhanced customer retention, and maintained an understanding of trends in the field.  As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I offered massage therapy within a public massage clinic.

Maintained the interests of the producers, cast, crew, designers, and facility staff by running a successful Equity production. Served as liaison between the production and the Actors Equity Association, maintained payroll, coordinated multiple schedules, problem-solved for all issues related to the production, called established technical cues, oversaw a cast and crew of over 20 people. This was a fast-paced work environment requiring precision, efficiency, professional and personable communication skills, quick problem-solving, and continuous adaptability.

Serving this theatrical production company meant overseeing all ticket sales, interacting with independent and public school venues, collecting payments, database management, telephone sales, and general administrative duties.
