Since joining the team at Galaxie Diner and Myhre’s Deli, my role has grown immensely. My key responsibilities originally included managing all social media and web channels, content creation and customer experience management. My overall objectives were to: 1) increase audience size and awareness for each restaurant through social media initiatives, 2) monitor customer experience via online platforms (positive sentiment on social media and reviews response), and 3) to create strong, recognizable brands for each location. Over the previous two years, I have been able to oversee the re-design of Galaxie Diner’s website, as well as a video campaign with Module Creative Agency for Myhre’s Deli. Additionally, I have taken on payroll and bookkeeping responsibilities, as well as several pandemic related roles, such as applying for government grants and wage subsidies. Since I began my role, we have introduced new sales avenues, increased our audience on social media, created lasting partnerships with local community members, grown the product offering and created key processes for back-end management. I have been able to work closely with multiple local artists, content creators and vendors to maximize brand potential and awareness, ultimately contributing to the longevity of two of Calgary’s long standing establishments.
