I also helped increase efficiency by being knowledgeable in the software that we used in order to accurately put food and drink orders in, and by up-selling items, keeping my section clean, & helping my co-workers whenever possible. I reduced the need for supervision by being very knowledgeable of the food and drink menu, resolving any minor customer issues, & consistently doing my end-of-shift cash-out accurately. I ensured I put in the extra effort to remember regular customers names and preferences (i.e., table, menu, and server preferences) so that I could greet them at the front door in a personable way. I also answered the phone throughout every shift to take reservations, take-out orders, and to resolve customer concerns and/or questions. I always ensured customers were spread out evenly among server sections to avoid conflict and frustration between staff and to allow the servers to give customers the proper amount of attention and care during their experience. I also had the responsibility of clearing, wiping, and resetting the tables as soon as customers left which allowed more customers to be able to dine in the restaurant sooner.
