Mrs. Echevarria is a Project Manager for natural resource, urban planning, and GIS implementation projects. Mrs. Echevarria leads small to medium ($10k-$250k) GIS engagements across numerous industries: State and Local Government, Health and Human Services, Natural Resources, Non-Profit, and others, and holds a combined portfolio of over $1.4 million.

Mrs. Echevarria was the program lead for the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) Program for the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (DCS, G9) Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) Program for Headquarters Army at the Pentagon.She evaluated and maintained all GIS QAPs for the U.S. Army's Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) adaptation. She also validated Army installation GIS data quarterly against her team's QAPs and the SDSFIE model. Mrs. Echevarria's other duties included:• Developing a communication strategy with factsheets, FAQ documents, and newsletter articles to facilitate installations in their data quality, SDSFIE compliance, and knowledge of the QAP Program. • Evaluating, updating, and - if needed - creating new Installation Status Report (ISR) Quarterly Guidance documentation, workflow and procedure manuals, and internal GIS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).• Developing and maintaining a program-wide document inventory, document review and production workflow, and program and company branded style guides.• Designing and publishing wall maps displayed in the Army offices of the Pentagon. • Mentoring entry-level staff in GIS best practices and QAP/SDSFIE requirements.

While with L3 - Unidyne Mrs. Echevarria worked with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop technical publications for the Department of Defense. She developed documents in both Microsoft Word and ArborText (XML). She coordinated numerous team members to provide her with the necessary information to complete all technical publications on time and within Department of Defense format. Mrs. Echevarria also efficiently identified, communicated, and escalated project dependencies, timelines, and status with all of the SMEs and project leaders on her team.

Mrs. Echevarria supported every branch of the military at her tenure with Marstel-Day. She provided:(1) Biological and GIS analyses for encroachment management plans, natural resource management plans, and environmental assessments. (2) Compatible Land Use Strategy (CLUS) GIS-based analyses, which assess current and potential encroachment challenges facing clients and their surrounding communities. (3) Stakeholder and outreach assistance.(4) Biological, geographical, and other technical report writing support.While at Marstel-Day Mrs. Echevarria also supported numerous internal programs:(1) She supported the GIS data management program by maintaining the GIS data structure and procedures for the entire company. (2) Mrs. Echevarria Chaired the Green Vision Council, where she lead a group of employees in finding innovative and compelling ways to make Marstel-Day more sustainable. (3) Mrs. Echevarria was also a team member of the Social Media team for Marstel-Day. She and the team worked together to create a compelling digital storytelling strategy to improve Marstel-Day's presence online.(4) Mrs. Echevarria was a team member of the editing and production team where she assisted the entire company with citations and overall document formatting on an ad hoc basis.

Mrs. Echevarria maintained the biological and geographic computer labs at Central Connecticut State University. While working as a technician, she also trained and mentored students in different programs, including: Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, ArcGIS and other ESRI products, as well as StatsPlus.

As an interns Mrs. Echevarria assisted experienced and dedicated marine scientists with their field research related to coastal and marine ecology. She acquired valuable skills in field data collection and handling, methods in marine field research, and the use of scientific equipment. She also increased her knowledge of marine ecology by being exposed to the abundant array of wildlife of the Canadian coastal rainforest. Mrs. Echevarria spent her time on the research vessel providing valuable assistance to data collection of the movements and foraging patterns of grey whales.

Mrs. Echevarria was a clerk (for 2 years) and a manager (for 3 years) at Ginger Root. She trained other employees in customer relations and the use of all computer systems on location. As a manager she maintained Ginger Roots tax information and was the official book keeper for the store.
