Pakhuis is based upon a collaboration of different organizations, with different styles, that share the same enthusiasm.Pakhuis is breaking the silence in Rotterdam’s nightlife, offering a chance to talented artists and their innovative and creative organizations, providing each of them with a healthy platform to do their own thing. Pakhuis is currently the most remarkable initiative to revitalize Rotterdam’s electronic dance scene. Pakhuis presents the dance public with a variety of dance music and offers its participants a chance for networking, co-operation and a possibility to work together with like-minded people.One of our core principles is that quality doesn’t have to be pricey. The bigger names in the “Dance Industry” (and we don’t like the sound of that word) keep demanding more and more, leaving less and less for all other aspects that make up a good party. One of those, of course, is the location. Pakhuis Rotterdam is held in vast monumental warehouse complex named “WHT” or “Westelijk Handelsterrein”, which has a central street, connecting adjoining units on both sides. During PKHS nights these smaller areas are converted into club rooms for one night and a chill-out. The central street serves as a meeting place to eat, drink, smoke, have conversations: offering time and space to chill and socialize – a practice that has been disappearing in modern day club life.A fixed part of the PKHS-formula is an all you can eat organic dinner at top restaurant level for just € 5,=.
