Jessica Kahn is a product-focused Software Engineering Leader who works with large, established corporations and startups of varying maturity to design, build, launch, and iterate upon consumer software products at massive scale.Jess spent nearly a decade at Apple, and in 2008, left there to join a tiny startup at the dawn of the App Store era. That startup quickly became profitable, and was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2010. Since then, she's twice led teams of 100+ as a Vice President at Disney, and served as CTO and VP of Engineering at startups of 30-80 people. After her second stint at Disney, Jess joined LinkedIn as a Director of Engineering in their "Flagship" organization, and was responsible for the full-stack implementations of various ways in which members contribute content to LinkedIn's main site and app, including likes, comments, and posts. She was also the overall engineering owner for the main consumer iOS application.After a successful few years at LinkedIn, Jess moved on to Netflix, and is now responsible for leading the ~180-person engineering team that handles the full-stack of all things "commerce" at Netflix, including sign up, plan selection, payment method acceptance, monthly billing and payments processing, account management, and more. Jess holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Dartmouth College, is listed as inventor on 13 U.S. Patents, and was chosen as one of Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Technology in 2011.
