-Provide statistical leadership on the study team (including any outside vendors) by actively participating in regular study team meetings and ensuring consistent communication across functions.-Offer statistical expertise throughout clinical trial development by: contributing to study design and sample size determination; writing and reviewing the protocol, SAP, CSR and public disclosures; reviewing TFL shells and results; programing in SAS or R as necessary to support internal decision making and/or QC, and maintaining study documentation and compliance with SOPs.-Communicate and collaborate with other statisticians to ensure consistency across studies.-Statistically support exploratory objectives, including endpoint development and biomarker exploration.

-Performed various analyses for Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS), an ultra-rare premature aging disease. Analyses methods for one biomarker qualification study included traditional time-dependent Cox modeling, in addition to joint modeling.-Consulted on the design and planning of clinical trials by performing power and sample size calculations, wrote detailed statistical analysis plans (SAPs), and developed corresponding table shells.-Created and utilized SAS macros and the output delivery system (ODS) in order to report statistical findings and produce tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) for various clinical trials.

Observational Studies Trainee: Department of Biostatistics-Investigated the relationship between highest level of football played and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) in the UNITE study, while correcting for selection bias.-Estimated the minimum incidence of CTE in the population after calculating the expected number of football players who died during UNITE study enrollment.Clinical Trials Trainee: Boston University Statistics and Consulting Unit-Consulted on the design and planning of a phase I clinical trial by writing a statistical analysis plan, designed appropriate corresponding table shells in Microsoft Word, and produced a randomization schedule using PROC PLAN in SAS.-Performed final statistical analyses of a phase I clinical trial and generated tables using SAS macros and the output delivery system (ODS).Genetics Trainee: Department of Biostatistics-Investigated whether characterized Type II Diabetes cluster-specific genetic risk scores are associated with clinical outcomes related to Type II Diabetes by implementing linear mixed effects models and generalized estimating equations in R for the Framingham Heart Study Cohort.-Meta-analyzed results from 13 participating cohorts and produced graphics to meaningfully display the results.Ethical Conduct in Research Trainee: Boston University Institutional Review Board (IRB) -Completed the Responsible Conduct of Research Program and learned about topics such as: mentor/mentee responsbilities, data integrity, collaboration and the peer review process, and objectivity in science.-Performed reviews of clinical studies seeking IRB approval and encouraged discussion among board members about potential ethical issues within the study.

-Analyzed data from clinical trials utilizing joint models and conventional methods such as linear mixed effect models, and Cox proportional hazards models.-Simulated data to emulate existing clinical trials to see whether the joint modeling framework offered an improvement in power compared to conventional methods.

-Hired as a researcher after holding a trainee position in TECBio, a NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates program (May 2016 - July 2016).-Performed a scan of low-frequency variants located within putative craniofacial enhancers, with the goal of identifying novel orofacial cleft risk variants and regulatory elements in orofacial cleft pathogenesis.-Utilized R and Plink in a PC/Unix environment to implement Skat and Burden CMC rare variant tests, and also to produce statistical output and figures.

-Tutored for Introduction to Statistics and Biochemistry.-Tutored fellow undergraduate students in one-on-one appointments, facilitated homework help sessions with multiple students, and moderated review sessions before upcoming exams with large groups of students.-College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified.
