My multimedia projects explore the significance of blurry vision as a metaphorical lens through which I perceive the world. While working with sound, projection, photography, video, and/or assemblage, I combine various media in order to harness the transformative power of ambiguity and challenge conventional notions of clarity and definition. The transformation through obscuring imagery symbolizes the fluidity of human experience, where boundaries between the tangible and intangible converge. My artistic process serves as a pathway to a continual pursuit of a deeper, more nuanced understanding of complex narratives. My work has been exhibited at various art spaces in and around NYC including Exit Art, The Invisible Dog, NurtureArt, MoCADA, and The Rochester Contemporary Museum. I was born and bred in Brooklyn, NY where I lived until I moved with my husband and daughter to Jackson Heights, Queens- the most diverse neighborhood in the world where you can hear over 165 different languages spoken. I received my BA from Barnard College and my MFA from Hunter College.
