-Legislatively represent and protect the college’s interests by working with government, associated authorities and administration -Assist in meeting legislative goals by creating policy proposals and working with government agencies-Communicate effectively to impact legislation on behalf of the college’s interests-Work with college administration to establish strategic direction for college goals-Review and recommend revisions to college policies and/or procedures -Serve as the College representative/liaison to community and state groups

- Develop and maintain relationships with elected & government officials, community & industry leaders - Lobby on behalf of the University for the budget and projects - Project Lead for Florida Poly Day at the Capitol, legislative receptions and Founder’s Day event - Coordinate the University Board of Trustees' quarterly meetings, graduation and inauguration - Conduct regular research, draft legislative strategic plans, conduct bill tracking & analysis - Represent the University at local events and Board of Governors meetings - Serve on the higher education policy committee to create the University five year strategic plan - Assist with University outreach

- Continuously identify and integrate best practices in the area of Title IX- Conduct investigations and oversee outside investigators to ensure timely and thorough Title IX investigations are performed- Draft investigation reports and maintain complete and accurate investigatory files/reports- Consult and/or collaborate with the University Office of the General Counsel and outside legal counsel where appropriate to ensure accurate, consistent, and appropriate application of University, policies, regulations and processes- Ensure that Title IX allegations involving faculty, staff, students or third parties are thoroughly investigated, whether formal or informal, in a timely manner- Create, prepare, and conduct training on Title IX matters for faculty, staff and students- Create and distribute informational materials in the areas of Title IX to the University community- Collaborate with other University departments and divisions to develop and conduct prevention of sexual harassment/sexual violence training and other Title IX related presentations- Provide guidance to students, faculty and staff on matters that fall under Title IX
