In 2005 I did something that I never in a million years imagined I would ever do - I started my very own web design business. In that time I was freelancing to two other web companies as well as growing my own portfolio of clients. In these early days, much of my time involved designing layouts in Photoshop and then converting them to HTML and CSS code. Being based in the Hawkesbury at the time, most of my clients were trades people including turf farmers, plumbers and electricians. I also worked with clients in the hospitality and tourism sectors.As trends and technology were changing, HTML was overtaken by content management systems, I adapted my skills and was soon building websites using WordPress, OpenCart, Shopify and other CMS platforms.
