Managed investment accounts and prepared monthly financial reports for Board of Directors. Completed 990 and annual audit with our retained CPA. Was responsible for monthly allocation fund transfers to 45 partner agencies. Prepared Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) grant applications each year to obtain additional campaign funding. Audited FEMA’s Emergency Food & Shelter Program in Will County for compliance each year.

Was responsible for all operational needs of a fast-growing, start-up litigation law firm (now 70+ attorneys). Reported directly to President/Managing Partner. Assisted founding partners in developing business strategies that improved the firm’s overall profitability and increased internal efficiencies. From inception, I oversaw all aspects of Financial Management, Accounting, Human Resources, and Office Administration. Four employees served as direct reports while supervising an additional 20+ administrative support staff employees. • Financial Management: Prepared monthly financial reports and quarterly net profit projections for executive management. Developed and maintained budgets for general overhead. Facilitated off-site retreats with shareholders and made formal strategy proposals to the Board to manage growth. • Accounting: Supervised client billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections. Calculated payroll through provider service. Reconciled firm’s 5 bank accounts and worked with contracted CPA for tax preparation and additional reporting requirements.• Human Resources: Recruited, hired and terminated employees as directed by Managing Partner. Investigated and remedied personnel issues and dealt with employee conflict. Evaluated hiring plans and recommending headcount increases. Performed employee benefits costs analysis and oversaw benefits administration. Created an employee handbook. Made recommendations for compensation increases and conducted performance reviews for non-attorney personnel.• Office Administration: Troubleshot firm’s technology-related problems (both software and hardware needs) and acted as liaison to our technology/help desk. Created firm policies and best practices. Continuously shopped for preferred vendors for the ever-changing business needs. Planned “upscale” annual client marketing events (i.e. New York dinner parties) and employer-sponsored firm events.
