I am a shape shifter in the worlds of theatre, dance, music, and creative coaching with a solid spine of “Yes, you can!” Over the past 20 year, I have worked as a guest artist (SETC, ISTA, FTC, State Thespians, colleges, high schools), director/choreographer (Off-Broadway, Fringe, Regional, Educational), singer/songwriter (3 Nat’l releases, 1 musical), and published author. My book, Creatively Independent: Life on Your Terms with Play, Community & Awareness, was supported by international best-seller Seth Godin and my provocative essay on ageism in education appeared in Psychology Today (Dec.’14).I bring the revolutionary power of the “What if?” to any situation. I delight in constructing impossible tasks and then playfully stepping into them. My talent as a creative hacker allows me to bring seemingly disparate groups together with dynamic results. I am known for my crazy ideas, a tendency to communicate through jazz scatting when excited, and an infinite supply of hope.Currently, I am workshopping two new musicals: It’s All Right Now, a modern parable about living in the Now, written with songwriter, Ron Morris and A Fire Just Waiting (working title), a Joan of Arc rebirth featuring Ani DiFranco’s music and lyrics. I am also co-writing “Shakespeare’s Ensemble” with Chris Beaulieu, activating an ensemble focused process within classical theatre.TRAINING: BA Theatre (FSU), MFA Interdisciplinary Arts (Goddard), RADA, Movement Studio Theatre, Society of American Fight Directors, Pilobolus AWARDS: Best Female Actor Combatant (Nat’l SAFD), Founder’s Award (Nat’l SAFD), Best Musical (Dir. /Chor., Minneapolis Fringe w/ Neo-Futurists)
