For my senior capstone project, I worked on an interdisciplinary team of engineering students to design and build a test apparatus for examining the aerodynamics of Latitude Engineering's Hybrid Quadrotor. We developed and executed a test plan to measure 3-axis forces and moments inside the University of Arizona's large, subsonic wind tunnel. The ultimate goal was to gain greater understanding of the UAV's electric motor-propeller performance when transitioning from vertical flight to fixed-wing flight.

I began working at Raytheon Missile Systems as a summer intern in 2016. I designed and prototyped control system components to meet program requirements in strength, cost, and tolerance. I completed a myriad of tasks in the lab including machining and soldering parts for motor testing. Additionally, I worked with my team to analyze component performance to allowable parameters and thresholds. This job transitioned into a co-op for the 2016-2017 academic year. This past summer, I designed a single axis test fixture for a control system's actuator. I constructed the test plan and and determined the necessary design requirements for the test equipment to ensure critical parameters of the actuator were met with reasonable margin. I produced CAD parts, assemblies, and drawings of the equipment and presented the final design to program leadership
