As a TA for a 300-level “Creativity and Communication” course (taken as part of the Marketing major), I assist my professor with grading and administrative tasks as well as interact with students to guide them through Adobe Suite tutorials, case/client projects, and others.

I was selected by honors program advisors as part of a group of 44 mentors from the 200 students in my 2021 class to mentor a “family” of 5 sophomore honors students in addition to a team of 6 junior honors students as they participate in the Integrative Core (ICORE) program (intensive rotational coursework in business topics that culminates in a business plan group project). In this role, I connect students with other mentors or classmates with similar interests, passions, and career goals to facilitate networking.

I had the privilege to work with my mom and her co-author Hawley on their book Push Through: Your Ultimate Success Playbook. I collaborated with Hawley, Carey, and their publishing team to plan and execute marketing and social media strategies for the book launch to build a following of over 500 people across all platforms. I created and analyzed content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and web at 3-4 posts per platform weekly.

As an administrative staff member at a wealth management firm, I performed tasks such as scheduling, client hospitality, mailings, and office/operations projects using MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and a CRM database.

During this exciting opportunity, I assisted the wonderful Bridal Consultants at Kleinfeld as they helped brides find their dream gowns. Specifically, I learned sales techniques, assisted with administrative tasks associated with appointments, worked with the PR/Marketing team, and connected with brides from all over the world.

For this exciting opportunity in the retail industry, I was selected by college recruiting team to visit Abercrombie & Fitch’s corporate headquarters where there were opportunities to network, participate in immersive group activities, and engage with a panel.

As a bookseller at my university's bookstore, I worked on the general merchandise and apparel floor to provide customer service as a cashier by answering questions, processing checkout, and tracking inventory of merchandise to maintain the appearance of the floor. I also planned and stocked branded displays to feature 5-10 SKUs (depending on display) in this role.

During the spring semester of my freshman year, I was selected by faculty through a competitive interview process to a group of 22 students to participate in an academic program designed to develop skills related to the retail industry from a corporate perspective through interaction with retail professionals, industry leaders, and other students in the classroom and on company visits.

As a studio assistant, my primary responsibilities were to collaborate with the instructor to plan for class preparation/set-up, articulating instructions, and clean up procedures. However, I also managed a table of 6-8 customers per class by creatively solving problems to ensure customer satisfaction and have helped to train and oversee newly hired assistants.As an instructor, I was responsible for planning for preparation/set-up, articulating instructions in a step-by-step process, and managing clean up procedures. I also directed approximately 30 customers per class and managed 2-4 studio assistants per class by overseeing their assigned tables of 6-8 customers.

During this summer internship following my freshman year, I job shadowed the group's director of marketing and client services to learn client acquisition, social media strategy, and use of marketing materials. Over the entirety of the internship I also performed administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing appointments, and learning client needs. I was also given the opportunity to create and deliver marketing materials such as phone scripts, website content, and holiday mailings. Toward the end of my summer, I was able to assist in planning a business-to-business workshop for 30 local business owners that resulted in 10 new client leads, which was extremely rewarding.

During two consecutive tax seasons my junior and senior years of high school, I shadowed CPAs to gain tax accounting knowledge and file tax returns, inspected financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements by line item for accuracy, and managed multiple administrative tasks such as customer service, filing, and preparing tax relevant documents.
