Arranged my MEng project to be conducted at Allen Liu's Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Systems, where I carried out research into microfluidic techniques for creating double emulsions for artificial cell synthesis. Main activities involved the design and development of an alternative, more replicable microfluidic device, performing COMSOL CFD simulations to investigate flowrates which optimized double emulsion yield and carrying out design verification experiments. Awarded a Skills Development CPD Grant by the IMechE in support of research.
