As a first-generation student, I primarily grew up in a low-income community where access to good quality healthcare was not common. From a young age, I had a passion for working in the medical field, and as I grew up that passion continued and has motivated me to engage more with my community.After completing my education at the University of California, Los Angeles, I aspire to become a physician assistant. I previously volunteered at a health fair where we helped spread important information about ways people in underserved communities can improve their health. This experience helped me engage with patients and health providers, gain interpersonal skills, and ultimately solidified my career path. Thus, I am passionate and eager to help my community in any way possible.
