Manage the Electronics Plant Division, triple de business in 1.5 years, Q1 award from FORD

Lead a group of 6 engineers. Responsible for the launch of the e-transaxle assembly and testing lines. 6 Assembly lines, including subassemblies, main line and final assembly. Also 5 Helium Leak testing equipment for Aluminum machined parts and 7 electro-mechanic testing equipment for the e-transaxle test. Assembly and Testing equipment definition and project follow up with the OEM suppliers. Budget allocation management and control. Engineering reviews and approval process with OEMs.

Lead a group of 7 engineers. Lead 5 productivity projects implementation with savings of $500 KUSD savings per year, including new stations implementation, headcount planning and reduction in the plant. Lead 2 major Industry 4.0 projects implementation in 2020 including process outputs digitalization and real time GDIA dashboards implementation with saving for 200KUSD per year, 10 engineers trained as Black Belts and 80 technicians trained as Green belts, over 50 6-sigma projects coached plant wide in all areas (Machining and Assembly)

Launch the assembly lines for the production of 2 new generation transmissions (6 & 8 Speed). Equipment buyoff at supplier sites. Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environmental KPI´s for the assembly lines. World class quality results such as 2 years in a row with 0 incidents, 99% FTT in assembly and 98% FTT in Testing systems. 5 6-sigma projects development with over 800KUSD savings. Managing a team of over 400 hourlies and 8 salaries. 6 sigma coaching and new black belt candidate development.

Continuous improvement at the Energies Department, Saving projects in Electricity, Compressed Steam, Cold Water, Electrical engineering validation and development, Development and validation of electrical engineering blue prints and calculations for new installations, New compressed steam and cold water networks development, standards development. Balanced Score Card development and follow up. Lean Manufacturing implementation. Technical personnel development, PFMEA development for new compressed steam and cold water systems.

Process: Continuous improvement in production lines trough lean manufacturing application (Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Just in Time, 5 S’s, Visual Factory, Quick Change Over, Error Proofing Systems (Poke Yoke), Kaizen, Standardized Work, TPM), operators and production supervisor management, design and development of new tooling, process changes control, PFMEA and Control Plan update, operators and production supervisor training, development and evaluation on their roadmap, lead the process problem solving methodology (QRQC), implement the Valeo Production System principles.Projects: Launch and design of new production lines under lean manufacturing principles (Ultra Lean Manufacturing concept from Valeo), budget management for new project developments, APQP paper work for new products (Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan, Packaging specifications, Layout, run@rate, work instructions), Supplier selection for production lines development, Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with Designers. Approval process under Chrysler Quality System and Nissan Quality System criteria
