I update EVB’s designs, replacing components that are end of life or in shortage, including MCUs, voltage regulators, attenuators, LNAs and other passive components.I write and update documentation for the microwave and millimeter wave modem chips, mainly hardware application notes.
Applications Engineer Intern (1200 H) - Wireline Team
I received training in G.hn and evaluated the current reference designs, testing them and getting measurements of SNR, background noise, PDS in reception and transmission and dynamic range using own software tools and laboratory equipment.I collaborated in the bring up of the industrial EVB DMI920, making several checks and measurements of the performance of the power supplies, the power up sequence or getting the eye diagram of the SGMII lines between the PHY and the main chip. I developed an accessory board for the DMI920’s RS-485 (half and full duplex) and RS-232 interfaces, which is included in the customer’s evaluation kit, and wrote its specifications for the User’s Guide.As my MSc Final Project, I updated the G.hn reference designs for coax and phone interfaces (DCP962C and DCP962P), integrating the GPY111 Ethernet PHY recently acquired from Intel, using Cadence Capture CIS for the schematics and Allegro for the layout. I dealt with colleagues from Taiwan, India and UK for solving doubts and getting reviews of my advances. And finally, I also collaborated with the Backhaul Modem Applications team in the debug of their EVK’s motherboards.
