I am Rockwell Automation’s General Counsel to the Americas Region and Global Market Access group, which drives the company’s strategy of how to sell its offerings through Rockwell’s PartnerNetwork. I am also the legal business partner to other critical functions in Rockwell's Global Sales, including the Enterprise Customer Experience and Revenue Management organizations.I joined Rockwell in 2008, serving as its first-ever Latin America General Counsel for six years. In 2014 I relocated to the U.S. and served as Assistant General Counsel (commercial attorney) for Rockwell’s Architecture & Software (2014-2020) and Lifecycle Services (2020-2021) segments.Prior to Rockwell I was Legal Counsel for GE from 2005 to 2007 and, before that, I worked for Santamarina y Steta, one of Mexico’s largest full-service law firms, for two years where I was a member of the Corporate Law practice group. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), with honors, from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Law in Mexico, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cleveland State University’s College of Law. I have been practicing for over 20 years and am formally admitted in Mexico and Wisconsin. In 2017 I was selected as one of “The Most Interesting LL.M. Students in the U.S.” by The National Jurist magazine (Fall 2017 Vol. 27, No. 2).I do extensive volunteering and currently serve on the Board of Directors of three non-profits in the Milwaukee Area: Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (“HPGM”) (currently serving as its Board Chair), the United Community Center (“UCC”), and the Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. I previously served on the Board of the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund.Throughout my career I have led many complex international transactions and projects. My biggest strengths are my curiosity, desire to help, and ability to work in cross-functional settings. I invest time learning from my colleagues about their business to understand what parts of the business are the ones that drive its revenue and earnings – to not only protect them but also drive profitable growth. I can proudly state that this method has worked in all my roles regardless of the industry or region of the world and in all instances I have successfully helped my internal clients achieve their objectives in a manner that is ethical and compliant with the law.On a personal note, I was born and raised in Mexico but have lived in the U.S. multiple times. On my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and working out.
