About Jesús Grau

Adaptive and detail orientated Service Designer with more than 9 years of experience in strategic products and digital transformation, with a large experience in innovation anticipating products and services. In 2015 I took a carefully planned career break that allowed me to travel, do independent service design consulting remotely and founding a new business in Australia.     In Melbourne, I identified an opportunity in the hospitality industry, and I founded Mama Paella. We were offering tailor-made Spanish food packages to celebrate any occasion from private parties to weddings or corporate events. Even though a benchmark and domestic market research was carried out before launching the service to the market, to achieve success I had to readapt the strategy to the country context and innovate to adjust the offer to suit Australian customers needs and tastes. To achieve it, we had to build consumer trust naturally by proximity, adaptability and been socially active. Implement new marketing strategies as well as managing legal requirements or controlling budget were also part of the day-to-day decisions.

I conducted a research to help them defining a new strategy to differentiate them from their competitors as a new integral divorce service, where they were accompanying the customers in all the process of divorce and not just legally but also emotionally. I redefined and validated their customer journey and customer touch-points, and ran surveys to have a detailed picture of their market segmentation.
