I was born and raised in Dallas, TX, as a Hispanic native from Mexican immigrantparents; growing up, I always saw things I didn’t like. When I ask why thingsare they are right now, they often respond that’s how the lawmakers up in theWhite House made it, and if I wanted to see change, I would have to do it myself.Ever since those words came to me, I have always been changing the world, notonly for me but for others as well. Working up the corporate and status ladder, Iplan to change the world for the better.I love helping people no matter when or how; assisting people in any capacity issomething I have always been passionate about. Ever since I was a teenager, I havealways enjoyed politics and had a fondness for Criminal Justice. This leads me tohave the opportunity to help people in the political and criminal justice world asan attorney. I plan to go to law school and use my law license to provideconstructive criticism and important feedback.I enjoy traveling across the nation to meet new people who allow me to createeverlasting bonds. By primarily going to Austin, TX, I can advocateon behalf of the students of higher education. By attending law school, I haveutilized and learned the necessary skills to impact the younger generation in a waythat I would’ve liked. I am passionate about both speaking up for those who cannotdo so for themselves as well as educating them about their rights.I have an associate’s degree with a field of study in political science. I intend to usethis degree to expand and start the foundation of my political knowledge toelaborate on the current political state of the world to others. I plan to inform,educate, and report various policies and government issues regarding ourdemocracy, from federal to state to local legislation.I am currently working on a bachelor’s degree with a field of study in criminaljustice. I plan to use this degree to expand on my previous knowledge from myprevious institution. By having a political science foundation, the criminal justicebachelor's degree will allow me to learn more and better help those less fortunate.I love to work as a team rather than individually. If I could, I definitely would callmyself a social butterfly. I enjoy being part of my community and helping onexternal and internal levels that would advance and prepare me for newchallenging activities.
