Soon after graduating in Chemistry, I was faced with the predicament of taking up nuclear science or prepare for an MBA. After making the obvious choice, I went on to join Demonic Resurrection as a keyboardist/songwriter and recorded their 2nd album which got us national and international acclaim. Before my folks realized that I was up to no good, I joined XIC. 9 months later, I miraculously graduated with a mediocre grade and was deemed eligible to work in the glorious field of advertising.In 2005, I joined a little known entity (then) –Tribal DDB India as a Trainee, where I learnt and created internet advertising for their key clients - MTV, HDFC Bank, Honda, LIC, SimplyMarry, TimesJobs and Yatra. Here, under the creative leadership of Meera Sharath Chandra and Karl Gomes, I won several awards at local and international festivals.After a 2 and a half year stint at DDB, I moved to Ogilvy One as a Senior Writer, where I developed engaging interactive brand communication for Cadbury, Axis Bank, Reliance General Insurance and Disney. Around this time, I co-created content with MTV for their show Love Bytes.In 2007, I moved to Arc Worldwide (Leo Burnett). As a Creative Supervisor, I created immersive online experiences for Complan, Delhi Daredevils, Luxor, Tata Salt, P&G and Tata Tea. I was also part of the team that got India’s 1st Cyber Lion at Cannes 2008.In March 2009, I joined Rediffusion Y&R as a Creative Partner collaborating with teams in offices across India to provide digital solutions to Tata Nano, Airtel and Kingfisher among other key clients.In March 2011, I finally added the long cherished 'engineer' title to my designation by joining SapientNitro as an Idea Engineer & engineered campaigns for Coca Cola, Lifebuoy, Pernod Ricard and Taco Bell. Since 2012, I've been consulting with agencies, companies and startups. P.S. It can safely be said (and written) that I have intuitive and in-depth knowledge of marketing products and services in an interactive medium.
