Data Scientist with experience working within the Financial Services sector and for SaaS providers. I have a background in the natural sciences and enjoy working on focussed projects in collaborative and effective teams. Projects I have been involved with include pricing optimisation, marketing mix (econometric) modelling, propensity modelling for marketing, churn prediction, dashboard creation, and information extraction via natural language processing techniques. I have experience in working in a cloud environment (chiefly AWS), utilising data technologies such as Spark, Snowflake, and working aligned to Agile methodologies.I have a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where my research focused upon utilising novel effects occurring at the interfaces between materials with exotic properties, for the purpose of developing new computing technologies.
