I work as a project manager for several organizations that are involved in the quality control of higher education in Flanders and the Netherlands (NVAO, QANU). This means I guide a panel of peers throughout the process of quality control (including a site visit) and write the report. I am also a certified adviser/secretary of the NVAO (http://www.nvao.net/gecertificeerde_secretarissen).

I am a facilitator of transferable skills workshops for PhD-students. I specialize in skills awareness workshops, during which the aim is to make PhD-students more aware of the (transferable) skills and competencies they have acquired/are acquiring during the PhD-process.Next to that, I facilitate workshops on a number of topics concerning competence-based education, such as: evaluation of competencies, approaches towards dual learning/werkplekleren, etc.

I work for Linguapolis, the language center of the University of Antwerp, as a translator and a text editor. I also do these kinds of jobs for other organisations.

2016-2019: I developed an instrument that measures 'employment readiness' for pupils following a dual learning track in secondary education. In 2017, I did a study on the dimensions of 'employment readiness' in the context of dual learning in Flanders. 2014-2016: I was part of a team that looks at qualitative ways to set-up large scale performance assessments of competencies. 2013-2015: I was the project manager of the ROEM-project (http://www.roem.be). ROEM stands for Return on Expectation Measurement. The aim of the project was to develop an online tool for the evaluation of training of employees. The tool enables L&D-managers to evaluate the effect of the training employees follow on different levels: reaction, learning, behavior, and results.2011: I studied the effects of different didactical approaches towards teaching research skills and the proven effects of inquiry learning and teaching. This led to the publication "Onderzoekend Leren Stimuleren: Effecten, Maatregelen en Principes"In 2011, I was part of a team that an instrument to support the qualitative setup of vocational, dual learning.

As the coordinator of the Antwerp Doctoral School, I was • responsible for the programme of transferable skills training offered to PhD-students;• the policy advisor regarding doctoral education and transferable skills training;• the coordinator of this policy across university;• responsible for processing applications of PhD-students for educational and travel grants;• responsible for the budget of the Antwerp Doctoral School.

The VLIR being the umbrella organisation of the Flemish universities, I supported the common research policy and equal opportunities issues of these universities. On these subjects, I was also the VLIR delegate in several national policy bodies.

I obtained a highly competitive research fellowship from the Research Foundation Flanders to do a PhD. Next do doing research, I was a teaching assistant, went and spoke at several (inter)national conferences, and published several (international) articles. I also followed several transferable skills courses.
