The Spur Change program is a 6-year national initiative, funded by Global Affairs Canada, aiming to increase the effectiveness of Canadian small and medium organizations (SMOs) to deliver sustainable results in support of the Feminist International Assistance Policy and the Sustainable Development Goals. The national program is managed by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC) on behalf of the Inter-Council Network of Regional and Provincial Councils for International Cooperation (ICN),which is a national coalition of 8 Councils representing more than 350 diverse civil society organizations (CSOs) from across Canada.As the Director, I am responsible to - lead a team to develop and implement all activities of the Spur Change program supporting SMOs- provide strategic guidance and oversight- financial management- build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the program- manage donor relations & oversee the production of required reporting

I managed the Secretariat and a team of 4 staff, steering a Coalition of 9 Canadian NGOs implementing international ICT internships for young professionals (210 internships/year). • Organized the provision of administrative and operational support to the Coalition partners.• Effectively facilitated the Coalition’s strategic and annual planning sessions. • Fulfilled narrative and financial reporting obligations to Global Affairs on behalf of the Coalition.• Successfully negotiated annual contract renewals of CAD 4.5 M with Industry Canada and Global Affairs Canada.
