Founded VampireFreaks, which started as an online forum and grew to be the largest alternative social network on the web. Wrote all of the code using PHP / MySQL / Laravel / CSS / HTML5 / AJAX / JavaScript.Also wrote the code for the original 'VampireFreaks Store' in ASP, and then rewrote it in PHP.VampireFreaks is now one of the premiere online gothic clothing stores and has been steadily growing.Now located in Stroudsburg, PA in a 15,000 square foot warehouse with thousands of products in stock and managing a team of 10 employees.

Worked on Cisco's Technical Education web platform using PHP and MYSQL. Duties include writing a new API for integration with other platforms, writing new functionality for existing codebase, fixing bugs, and refactoring / reorganizing legacy code. Rewrote a major project in Laravel framework to be more modern and object-oriented, as well as updating to newer technologies and newer mobile-friendly designs using Vue.js

Rewrote entire social-networking website by myself using Laravel PHP framework on the backend and Bootstrap / Jquery frontend. Frontend is extremely dynamic making heavy use of Ajax and Jquery, featuring ‘infinite scroll’ and dynamic content loading. Social networking features include user signup, login / authentication, friends lists, inbox messaging, status updates, newsfeeds, journals, HTML5 music players, picture uploads and more.Rewrote entire custom e-commerce website by myself from scratch, using the CodeIgniter framework with a MVC archictecture, using the LAMP stack (Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP). Features written include ‘product listings’, ‘shopping cart’, ‘checkout’, as well as admin system for procesing orders and managing products. Uses ‘stripe’ API for credit card transactions, as well as PayPal API. Frontend was completed in Bootstrap and features a new design that is mobile-optimized, marking the first time their e-commerce site had a mobile-friendly interface. Store sales increased by over 30% after the store rewrite.Both of these sites are hosted on Amazon AWS and utilized the AWS SDK for picture uploads / file uploads.

Created first version of full working site by myself in less than 2 months. LAMP web development, created website using PHP, MySQL, AJAX, jQuery, CSS, HTML5, on Amazon AWS platform. Used Google maps API for address auto-completion functionality. Created PHP site parser to query the NYC housing violations site for addresses in the database, to dynamically display housing violation info. Used NYC subway API data to display closes subways to each address. Used city census API to get neighborhood / zip-code census statistics. Tested, and interviewed new interns and web developers. Learned Xcode / iOS app programming for company mobile app. Created and modified wordpress blog.

Sole web developer / programmer for this web startup. In charge of updating website frontend and backend. Programming in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, and AngularJS, using Windows Azure cloud hosting. Moved site from Kaltura video hosting and Windows Azure to Amazon AWS cloud hosting, using EC2 and Elastic Transcoder, saving the company over $2,000 a month. Worked on HTML5 video player. Wrote payment processing code for paypal and credit cards, using paypal API and merchant warehouse API. Code updates, new features and bug fixes.

Wrote all of the code from scratch for this successful e-commerce website. Original version created using ASP, rewrote the website in 2005 to use PHP. Features a custom MySQL database, shopping cart system, product reviews, real-time inventory management and administrative control panel. Programmed real-time shipping calculator using UPS and USPS shipping API. Programmed payment processor for credit cards using Authorize.net API and accepting Paypal payments using Paypal API Manage a staff of 2 people at Brooklyn office who are in charge of shipping / receiving / orders and customer support.

Created the largest social networking site for the alternative music scene, 'VampireFreaks.com' , which has had a total of over 5 million accounts since its inception. Wrote all of the code from scratch using PHP and MySQL. Smarty template language is used to separate PHP code from front-end HTML / Javascript / CSS code for a model-view-controller architecture. Custom AJAX, JQuery and Javascript used throughout the site. VampireFreaks is a social networking site that allows users to create a profile, interact with other users, create their own groups / communities, post on the custom messageboard, listen to music, watch videos, among many other features which are all linked to the user profiles. Coded instant real-time website notifications for user accounts, using Comet-style push notifications. Created band profiles which allows bands to stream their music and market their music to fans. Linked the site to Facebook API to allow users to login and signup with Facebook and to automatically post their site activity to their Facebook wall. Linked the site to Youtube API to allow users to post Youtube videos to their account, using a custom Flash video player. Created administrator panel and functionality to allow administrators to provide customer support. Created digital music store that allows bands and music labels to sell their music. VampireFreaks has had over 5 million registered users profiles and has been featured in Rolling Stones Magazine.

Programming in C++ / Visual C++ for major software project, on a team of 8 other programmers. In charge of user interface enhancements, created new options and features. Fixed many bugs and was one of the most productive employees on the team.

Programming in Java and XML, on flagship software product that allows lawyers to search through legal data. Created programs to process and filter XML input and output.
