I served as a trusted advisor to the market executive, physicians, CEOs, COOs, and CNOs of each hospital. The Dallas hospital had 87 operational beds, the Frisco hospital had 36 operational beds, and the Fort Worth hospital had 30 operational beds. On average, we admitted 300 patients per month across all hospitals.As a valued Lean Six Sigma expert, I used a huddle board to track daily admission delays, monthly admissions, single case agreements, denials, and top referral sources. I led detailed root cause analyses and created new ideas to reach weekly goals, which we called the recovery plan. I provided status updates on our goals to Tier 3 Executive Leadership. By analyzing operational metrics, we were able to increase our return on investment by decreasing claim denials through collaborative payer relations and streamlining operational logistics to increase admissions. Our hospital department was consistently ranked as a top performer.I worked collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Senior Leadership, Physicians, Project Managers, Quality Improvement Specialists, and Clinical Experts to ensure we were providing the highest quality of care to our patients.
