All of my life experiences lead me to this opportunity. To utilize my education, talents, passion, and lived experience to serve in a capacity to help California improve and empower the lives of California's youth experiencing homelessness, disconnection, and instability. It has been an honor to serve as Executive Director and dedicate over 17 years to CCY, starting as a Youth Advisory Board Member. And while receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from the California State University Channel Islands, CCY remained a priority.My passion for serving youth populations comes from lived experience with homelessness, the foster care system, and being a disconnected youth, which gives me a vast understanding of the vital work CCY is doing. I am excited to lead CCY forward, answer the call of thousands of youth in need of support, and spearhead the effort to advocate for public policies, programs, and investments that empower and improve the lives of California's youth, especially those experiencing homelessness, disconnection, and instability.

Steer and advise California's Child Welfare Council to improve collaboration and processes of multiple agencies and courts to serve children, youth, and families in the child welfare system.

The California Child Welfare Council (CWC) was established by the Child Welfare Leadership and Accountability Act of 2006 (Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 16540 – 16545) and serves as an advisory body responsible for improving the collaboration and processes of the multiple agencies and the courts that serve the children in the child welfare system. The Council is co-chaired by the Secretary of the California Health & Human Services Agency and the designee of the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court, and membership is comprised of state departments, county departments, nonprofit service providers, advocates, parents and former foster youth. The Council is charged with monitoring and reporting on the extent to which the agencies and courts are responsive to the needs of children in their joint care

Elevate and address the unique challenges facing youth in the child welfare system and create sustainable pathways for their well-being and success.

Inform the development of best practice recommendations to guide policy and inform statewide efforts to address the behavioral health needs of children and youth more effectively in the child welfare system.

Inform, advance, and coordinate California's work on behavioral health care to meet the needs of populations such as youth experiencing homelessness, systemic involvement, and poverty.

Oversee the implementation of Housing First policies, guidelines, and regulations to reduce the prevalence and duration of homelessness in California.

Grow and scale programs that meet the needs of more employers and create more earn-and-learn career pathways for homeless and foster youth. IACA translation Interagency Advisory Committee on Apprenticeships.

Advise and recommend implementation activities, products, and materials that promote and advocate for kinship care, foster a kin-first culture, and system transformation throughout California's child welfare jurisdictions, courts, partner agencies, and providers.

Advise and promote premier tools for child welfare professionals and volunteers to find contact information for extended family members and other connections for current and former foster youth.

Inform design and implementation strategy of California's Behavioral Health Virtual Services and E-Consult Platform.

Inform California's approach to meeting and delivering health care services to children, youth, and families impacted by child welfare, including justice-involved and former foster youth up to age 26.

Inform, advise, and establish California's implementation of Youth Education, Prevention, Early Intervention, and Treatment Account programs through Proposition 64 funding.
