Te Rauhii is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers inclusive and freely accessible music education to communities of high deprivation. Through group music-making, the programme seeks to empower, educate and enrich the lives of children, young people and their whaanau, inspiring them to be active citizens and agents of social change.Established in 2014, the programme engages with tamariki and rangatahi each week, providing instrumental tuition in violin and cello, in addition to choral ensembles and classes in musical theory. While the students gain confidence in their own abilities as they progress through their musical education, the ensemble aspect encourages the students to work collaboratively as part of a wider community. They environment fostered by Te Rauhii instills values of kindness, respect, and trust, actively contributing to the development of healthy and stable families, increasing community participation, pride in themselves and their community, and intergenerational learning.

Connecting with couples to create a personalised, memorable ceremony for their big day. I guide couples through the legalities of their upcoming marriage, as well as providing emotional support, public speaking tools and a sense of humour.

Philips Search & Rescue Trust is the charity responsible for fundraising and promotion of the North Island’s largest pool of community rescue helicopters.

At Marrzipan I am responsible for managing the logistics of our staff, students, parents and schools. As well as general office management (responding to all enquiries, payroll, website management, accounting, and budgeting) I am responsible for my staff creating fun, creative and educational content to teach their students social skills and self-confidence through performing arts. I also timetable all classes, events (such as performances) and holiday workshops, and am the Health and Safety Officer.

Duties include – Hosting a weekly Quiz Night for an average of 60-70 patrons. I use my performing arts background and customer service skills to create a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

Producing and production managing an original full length theatre show. My degree in performing and screen arts gave me practical knowledge to be part of the creative team for this show, helping construct the show as well as market it to the public. In my role I recruited and managed the staff/crew (both paid staff and volunteers), and organised and ran production meetings. I built relationships in the community and worked with a number of organisations to create this show. My duties also included basic accounting and administration.
