Air Separation and Cryogenic Technologies

Responsible for developing technical performance test procedures for all primary process (Gasification, hydrogen Recovery, acid gas removal, sulfur recovery, soot and ash removal) and utility units (Instrument air, wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis, fuel gas, and tank farm systems) for the Jazan IGCC Site.

Provided process engineering for multiple technologies on site - Gasification (Shell), air separation (Air Products), hydrogen recovery (UOP), acid gas removal (Air Liquide), sulfur recovery (Shell), soot and ash removal (Shell), HRSGs & turbines (Siemens), wastewater treatment (Veolia), and general utilities (Instrument air, fuel gas, and tank farm systems).

Air Separation Unit Process Engineering - Performed detailed equipment specifications for front-end adsorption systems (TSAs), cryogenic heat exchangers (Thermosyphon, DFRC), distillation columns, storage vessels, and back-up vaporizers.

• Responsible for leading and assisting in the completion of research and development contracts with companies and universities.• Successfully built systems and reactors to emulate field data and to investigate disturbances. • Collect data and provide analytical analysis including mass and energy balances.• Results of projects allowed for companies to pass regulation standards, improve safety, and increase productivity.

• Responsible for leading monthly meetings with newly enrolled students in order to acclimate them to the campus at The City College of New York. • Planned social events for the students to become more involved in extracurricular activities.

• Responsible for teaching introductory English and Statistics courses.• Developed curriculum for English and Statistics courses for the College.
