Directorial responsibility over 74 FTE's at the 288 bed Samaritan Medical Center. Additionally direct supervision over the two busiest out-patient imaging clinics and the management of the Technologists throughout the 5 community out-patient clinics in the Samaritan organization. As Director of Diagnostic Imaging, I manage seven modalities within the Diagnostic Imaging Department and am responsible for the technical staff of approximately 27 FTE’s .I serve as liaison between the Radiologist group and hospital administration, and have maintained a consistently low turnover within the department, enabling staff development and cross training with progressive incentive programs and succession planning.I also conduct financial analysis to maximize efficiencies and minimize overtime, as well as facilitating productive working relationships with suppliers, service providers and manufacturers which have resulted in significant organizational cost savings.Committee Membership includes: Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Trauma, Stroke, Cardio-Vascular Services, Environment of Care, ED Services, and the Radiologist Group Monthly Meeting.Key achievements: -Recognized as Clinical Director of the Year 2010 -Managerial leadership produced the highest overall employee satisfaction scores for the Diagnostic Imaging collective department in 2014; Earned two Employee Satisfaction Awards for Outstanding Performance in 2012-The Diagnostic Imaging Department was ranked #1 for three consecutive years for Clinical Instructor of the Year by Blinn Community College-Opened affiliations with two ultrasound schools-Directed MRI $2.75m project with on-schedule completion and installation in December 2012; -Additionally negotiated and secured digital upgrades for diagnostic X-ray rooms-Chairperson of Radiation Safety Committee and acting designee for the RSO; Established Radiation Safety Committee as an officially recognized entity by the Medical Executive Committee

As a member of a seven-technologist, six-camera nuclear medicine department at a large teaching hospital, I performed a diverse range of scans, including dual isotope cardiac stress exams, MOAB prostate scintigraphy, lymphoscintigraphy, osteopetrosis bone marrow studies and protocols designed by MUSC radiologists.

Responsible for all aspects of patient service in a mobile nuclear medicine unit serving the eastern coastal region of Maine. Duties included scheduling, injection, scanning and processing of patient data.
