The Wimauma Community Development Corporation was founded and obtained its 501(c)3 nonprofit status in February of 1967. The purpose of the organization was to create better housing and living conditions, better health and welfare standards, advance youth and adult educational opportunities, and provide a corporation where many civic improvements could be brought to the Wimauma communityThe Wimauma CDC works with various community leaders and organizations to seek ways to create better living environments, educational and health opportunities for the residents in the Wimauma area.
